Ma/me is a personal project process created together with Martine Stevens, mama.
It is a performative act with the power of language to effect change. The collection shows two women merging with their surroundings and their sentiments; navigating emotional turbulence and communicating with silence in their quest for understanding. My promise to her is to overlook the imprint of a mental illness. Formulated as expeditiously as a zine but intimate like a diary, Ma/Me is the chronicle of a relationship. The project is a beginning in a lifelong search for recognition.
