Beliefs, opinions, perceptions and even emotions are a product of our life experiences and memories. We strive to live multitudes of realities and we project a myriad of personalities, every day, eventually becoming a mere reflection of our past.

This project is the beginning of a series of works exploring memory and its role in the creation of identity.

The initial stage is photographing strangers but in a unique manner – working as a mirror, disconnecting them from their daily lives and helping them reflect through a conversation focused entirely on them.

While sharing their life experiences and unveiling the layers, worn to seek acceptance, they are caught in a moment where reality peeks.

The experience becomes more intimate when we switch roles and they are offered complete control over the conversation, the environment and myself.
