Espectacular instalación fotográfica de200 metros cuadrados del suelo de Las Arenas, llevada a cabo por los estudiantes del Máster de Fotografía y Diseño de ELISAVA como una reflexión acerca de qué es el centro, cómo funciona y, sobre todo, quienes son los que trabajan en él, tras el exterior destinado al consumo, en las entrañas invisibles al visitante.
Así, la muestra propone una mirada a esta realidad paralela del C.C. Las Arenas, que amplía la percepción de la complejidad del centro para el visitante, quien a su vez también forma parte de la misma. La intervención artística revela una vida dentro del centro y un equipo humano que lo hace funcionar las 24 horas; espacios en los que ellos pasan su día laboral; biografías que se cruzan; responsabilidades, tareas y coordinación, que en su mayoría suceden ajenas al público. El proyecto ‘INVISIBLE’ es pues un homenaje a los trabajadores del centro que, en su mayoría invisibles en los espacios privados y/o subterráneos, realizan su trabajo diario y por ende sostienen el centro, garantizando su correcto funcionamiento y una apariencia atractiva para el consumo y el ocio de los clientes.
La instalación fotográfica de los alumnos del Máster de Diseño y Fotografía de ELISAVA abre la mirada a esta realidad generalmente escondida, revelando el rostro de los empleados invisibles y resultando a la vez una metáfora visual del hecho de que son ellos quienes sostienen y mantienen el centro, desde dicha invisibilidad.
Spectacular photographic installation of 200 square meters carried out by the students of ELISAVA’s Master in Photography and Design as a reflection about what the mall is, how it works and, who are the people who work there, after the exterior destined to the consumption, in the invisible heart to the visitor.
The exhibition suggests a look to this parallel reality of Las Arenas Shopping Mall, which increases the perception of the complexity of the mall for the visitor, who at the same time is part of the same. The artistic intervention reveals a life inside the mall and a human team that makes it functional 24 hours; areas where they spend their working day; biographies that run into one another; responsibilities, tasks and coordination, which most of them take place unaware to the public.
The ‘INVISIBLE‘ project is a tribute to the mall workers that work every day guaranteeing its proper function and an attractive appearance for the consumption and the free time of the clients. This photographic exhibition opens the look to this reality generally hidden, revealing the face of the invisible employees and resulting in a visual metaphor of the fact that they are the ones that maintain and make the mall work.
