My work ‘YOU’ is an inspiration from Rumi’s philosophy of life that reproduces familiar emotions/struggle we all go through in our daily life, arranging them into new conceptually layered pieces. My images establish a dream-like surreal quality, suggesting notions of calmness and beauty in every emotion of sorrow, pleasure, content, discontent and search. Unfinished inventories of fragments: objects, drawings, paintings, photographs. They are improvisational spots wherein the constructed and the ready-made are used to question our making of the world through language and knowledge. My arrangements are graphic, inviting the viewer to move into a space of speculation. I rely on our desires for beauty, poetics and seduction which are hidden in plain sight.
