If catharsis is the process of releasing strong or repressed emotions, the purging of feelings. How much can we control such a visceral state? Can we interrupt it and fragment it into frames? Can images and words ever be enough to evoke deep pain or deep love?

 

CATARSIS FRAGMENTADA follows Ricard, a young person who recently lost his dear mother during the pandemic, as he pays homage to her memory through different rituals in the hope to finally be able to say the words he had not yet said and release the emotions he had not yet released since her death.
