Disturbing Obsession deals with the obsession towards fast fashion, the ‘’Dress to Impress’’ slogans of the industry, and their devastating impacts for the planet. How can we change our behavior and attitude if the action of buying itself brings so much pleasure? Departing from my own experience, I employ a series of self-portraits and wardrobe props to address the severe environmental impact of fast fashion and over-production. I urge the consumer to take responsibility and to question if such low cost purchases are worthy.
