The project ‘Raval (in)visible‘ is based on a collaboration between the Master’s Degree in Illustration and Comics and the Master’s Degree in Photography and Design of Elisava. The students of both programs have worked in 6 mixed teams during 10 months exploring the graphic format of the photonovel, exploring, investigating and updating this format where illustration, comic, photography and design necessarily converge in different forms of visual narrative.

This workshop is the culmination of the ‘Raval (in)visible’ project, which was interrupted by the COVID-19 crisis, which is why the students were unable to produce and install the resulting projects. In this workshop, the students of Elisava have each been able to create a mural that they have installed in the emblematic location for urban art in Barcelona, Les Tres Ximeneies. With this workshop the students have been able to experiment with the technique of paste up, as well as make an approach to urban art.
